Buclizine HCl 25 mg, thiamine mononitrate 10 mg, pyridoxine HCl 5 mg, cyanocobalamin 10 mcg, elemental Fe 25 mg (as ferrous fumarate 76 mg)
Indications/Uses
Special Precautions
Patients w/ narrow-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, stenosing peptic ulcer, pyloroduodenal obstruction, bladder neck obstruction or urinary retention, hyperthyroidism, CV disease or HTN. May impair ability to drive or perform other tasks requiring alertness. May cause dizziness, sedation, syncope, toxic confusional states & hypotension in elderly; excitation in childn.
Adverse Reactions
Buclizine HCl: Drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, nausea & jitteriness. Fe: GI effects eg, nausea, vomiting, bloating & upper abdominal discomfort (high doses); diarrhea or constipation, teeth staining, darker stool color. Pyridoxine HCl: Neurologic effects in chronic administration of high doses (100-500 mg/day) & long-term (≥2 mth) megadose (≥2 g/day) use.
Drug Interactions
Buclizine HCl: Increased possibility for toxicity w/ alcohol & other CNS depressants including hypnotics, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety agents & narcotic analgesics. Prolonged & intensified anticholinergic effect w/ MAOIs (eg, amitriptyline, imipramine, sertraline, moclobemide). Fe: Decreased absorption w/ antacids (take at least 1 hr before) & tetracyclines (take at least 1 hr before & 3 hr after). Delayed response to Fe therapy w/ chloramphenicol. May decrease absorption & reduce bioavailability of carbidopa, levodopa, methyldopa & penicillamine.
